About the Internship
Our program is designed for participants who are eager to develop a stronger understanding of the entertainment industry through hands-on experience in production and development for both television and film. Counterpart (CP) Studios interns will split their time between the Counterpart offices, where they'll learn from industry professionals who have decades of experience across development, production, and post-production, and on the ground at our NY-based productions. At the end of the program, participants will have received opportunities to explore multiple facets of the industry, preparing them for the next steps of their entertainment careers. Our goal is to cultivate the next generation of production-career driven professionals with a recruitment focused on diversity, equity, and inclusion.
Rate: $16.50/hr

Our interns are:
Organized, punctual, and excellent communicators
Passionate about entertainment and excited to learn about the many facets of the TV & Film production industry
Available to work 12 - 16 hours a week during a 10 week program January - May
Able to work in person at our downtown Manhattan office, as well at our productions based in NYC and the surrounding area
Responsibilities:
Report to our downtown Manhattan office and/or NY-Based Production location (either set or office) twice a week.
Attend bi-weekly educational presentations from CP staff and partners about the business of the industry
Provide interdepartmental office support
Assist the Production Coordinator and production teams
Support the AD department with various on set activities
Pickups and returns
Prepare a final project to reflect their understandings from the program. Elements of the project could include:
Creating a pitch/deck for a new show
Writing script/scene
Breaking down a script/scene
Scheduling/budgeting production for a project
Filming final product
